This directory contains the MAG optimal averager data set acquired during the Io torus and flyby interval. Data contained in this directory span the time interval 13:37:39 - 18:14:51 UT on Dec 7 1995. These data are provided at the full instrument sampling rate in the optimal averager mode. There was a sample rate change during this period at 16:25 UT. Prior to this time samples were taken every two RIMs (about two minutes) and afterward, they were taken every RIM.

Data are provided in two coordinate systems: inertial spacecraft (IRC), and System III [1965]. Please review the data set catalog or individual file labels for coordinate system definitions. The data are stored in a single ASCII table (MRO_DATA.TAB) which is described by a detached PDS label (MRO_DATA.LBL).

Additional information about these data is available in the data set catalog file MAGMRODS.CAT which is located in the CATALOG directory off the root of this disk. Information on the instrument can be found in the Space Science Reviews instrument paper which is located in the DOCUMENT/MAG directory.
