This directory contains SPICE kernels in the format needed by software        
running on most Unix platforms (binary SP and C kernels, ASCII [LF]           
for the TSC, TLS, and TPC kernels). These kernels will only work properly     
with software running on platforms that use IEEE floating point (MSB)         
and the line feed as the ASCII line termination character.                    
                                                                              
These kernels are provided on in this product both for completeness           
and to ensure that the kernels used in the processing of the data             
are included in the archive. The official archive of the Galileo              
SPICE products is maintained by the Navigation and Ancillary Information      
Facility (NAIF) at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena CA.        
SPICE kernels can be obtained from the NAIF Node of the PDS for numerous      
platforms in addition to those provided here.                                 
                                                                              
In addition to being the PDS archive site for the SPICE kernels, NAIF         
provides and maintains a software toolkit (SPICELIB) for accessing            
the kernels. For more information about NAIF, SPICELIB, or to acquire         
kernels for platforms not support here, please visit the NAIF website         
(http://pds.jpl.nasa.gov/naif.html). The DOCUMENT directory on this           
cdrom describing the SPICE concept.                                           
                                                                              
The SPICE kernel files provided by the Galileo project did not conform        
to either the ISO 8.3 file naming convention or the PDS file naming           
conventions. The following table lists the original project names for         
each file, the PDS name, and a terse file description. There is a
