This directory contains the high time resolution data set associated with the Io torus and flyby. Data contained in this directory span the time interval 15:21:00 - 18:25:36 UT on Dec 7 1995. These data are provided at the full instrument sampling rate which does not generate samples evenly spaced in time.

Data are provided in three coordinate systems: System III [1965], IPhiO, and ISPRH. Data are provided in the two Io centered coordinate systems only in the vicinity of Io (17:30 - 18:00 UT). Please review the data set catalog or individual file labels for coordinate system definitions. The data are stored in ASCII tables (*.TAB) which are described by detached PDS labels (*.LBL).

Additional information about these data is available in the data set catalog file MAGHIODS.CAT which is located in the CATALOG directory off the root of this disk. Information on the instrument can be found in the Space Science Reviews instrument paper which is located in the DOCUMENT/MAG directory.

Each MAG data file contains embedded spacecraft trajectory data for the coordinate system of the MAG vectors. In addition, there are separate trajectory data files (DATA/TRAJECT) where data from multiple coordinate systems are stored in a single data file. Spacecraft attitude and other geometry information are also available in the GEOMETRY directory.
