PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 1997-06-27 NOTE = "Description of contents of GEOMETRY directory" END_OBJECT = TEXT END The GEOMETRY directory holds a NAIF SPK file and Right Ascension / Declination files for Galileo Gravitational Wave experiments. Each SPK file is a data module which can be read and interpreted using software provided by the PDS Navigation and Ancillary Information Facility (NAIF). That software is described briefly in TK_FTP.TXT, TK_DESCR.TXT, and TK_INSTL.TXT in the DOCUMENT directory. Users will normally convert the file from its archival 'transfer' format to the local binary format using the NAIF utility SPACIT. SPK file names are of the form SyymmddA.XSP. Detached PDS labels have names SyymmddA.LBL. In each case yymmdd represents the 2-digit year, 2-digit month, and 2-digit day on which the file starts. Right ascension / declination (RA/DEC) files contain the RA and DEC for the Spacecraft at midnight for each day of the experiment. The file also contains the one-way light time in seconds. The RA_DEC.TAB file has a detached label called RA_DEC.LBL.
