     Engineering data volume and parameter values are consistent with those
for the past two days.

Open Loop Data
==============

  Data Collection
  ---------------

     Trish Priest advised yesterday that open loop data had been collected
on 1996/327.  We queried several times, but each time collected only one
SFDU.

     Trish also reported that the USO test (last night, PST) went very well.
This was our first formal test during Cruise.  We have obtained 36500
records between 1996/332-04:59 and 1996/332-07:01.  A total of 96 records
were lost, somewhat below the usual rate of one record per minute of DSP
operation.  The losses appear to be distributed more or less uniformly
throughout the two hour period.  Detailed processing has been delayed while
we investigated a problem with the program that generates PDS labels for
these files.


Closed Loop Data
================

     None received at Stanford yet, though we will attempt to acquire the
file corresponding to the USO test.
