     Channelized engineering data has returned to high volumes (almost 172
MB for this day), and we are no longer seeing errors from QUERY2PLOT.
Robin O'Brien had reported transmission errors from the DSN; perhaps those
problems have been solved.

     Values above are typical of those which have been seen for the past
several days.


Open Loop Data

     No new data delivered to Stanford.

  Data Anomalies
  --------------
     Problems with data from 1996/332 USO test have been traced to an
apparent bug in the PDS label generator.  The bug has been reported to
the program author at UCLA; we believe we understand it well enough to
work around without requiring a software change at this time.

  Frequency Analyses
  ------------------
     Analysis of the USO test data has begun; because of the holiday
interruption, we do not expect it to be completed until Monday.


Closed Loop Data
================

     We have located a source of closed loop data on the OSCAR
computer at JPL but are awaiting guidance from JPL on their file
naming convention before transfering any files.
