We got behind because of the weekend; a long USO test; some large engineering files; and some data line, software modification, and execution problems. These will help us better understand the relationship between performance of the spacecraft radio science subsystem and Ka-Band Link Experiment (KaBLE) activity. L-0200 remains constant at 4.08 volts. L-0201 is down 0.01 volts from our last report. T-0315 is down 1.5C to 1.0C from our last report. Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- Data collected during USO Test #8 were obtained in two queries. The first was terminated for unknown reasons by Query Control. We trimmed the file that we DID receive to cover only the time when KaBLE was ON. We set the second query to begin when KaBLE went OFF and ran that to the end of DSP operations. Both segments appear to have benefited from a retransmission arranged by Trish Priest; there were no missing records in either segment. There are also spurs at what appear to be 60 and 180 Hz and a modulation on the carrier signal strength with amplitude of a few tenths of a dB and a period of approximately 5 minutes. John Armstrong has provided plots from the GWE Rehearsal (97/051-2) showing short bursts of anomalous open-loop Doppler residual approximately every 209 seconds. Amplitude of the pulses is about 0.03 Hz and each lasts about 0.7 seconds. He saw the same bursts in Mars Observer data four years ago. He also reports sudden decreases in received signal amplitude of as much as 3 dB between 23:15 and 00:10. We see the amplitude drops in low resolution plots at Stanford, but we have not had a chance to confirm the 209 second Doppler residual anomalies.
