Dick Simpson has been out of the office since the end of last week, and will be returning tomorrow. I was at LMA in Denver yesterday so there was no instrument health report. I returned to work this morning to find out that the login names and passwords of dozens of people on systems connected to the network in our building at Stanford may have been compromised last week. Apparently, an intruder was able to gain root access to one of the systems on the network and install a network sniffer. Numerous individuals (myself included) have been advised to change their passwords. The RST SOPC is isolated by router from the compromised network. To be safe, all local SOPC users have been advised to change their SOPC passwords.
