PDS_VERSION = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 1997-04-15 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA7105B.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Miscellaneous ============= Because we are beginning upgrade of the SOPC to SunOS 4.1.4 this afternoon, normally scheduled queries and our health report tomorrow may be delayed. Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- GWE data collection on 97/104 was inadvertently omitted from the earlier report HEA7105A.TXT. GWE data were collected at DSS 15 for 103 minutes. Specifics are noted in the table below: YYYY/DDD DSS DSP SAMP BW DSP BIT TRK REC RECS RECS FIRST START STOP RATE MODE RESN MODE LEN MSSG SNR -------- --- -------- -------- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----- ---- ----- 1997/104 15 02:17:00 04:00:00 200 100 1 8 2-W 566 12360 0 ~43. GWE collection was supposed to continue at DSS 45 over the time interval 07:15-13:15 but operators could not get the DSP into the link. Anomalies --------- DSS 15 data have a random amplitude modulation with characteristic times of 6-12 minutes and amplitudes no more than 0.5 dB peak-to-peak. Superimposed is a much higher frequency and lower amplitude component (approximately 12 sec and no more than 0.2 dB peak-to-peak (Figure 1). There were 36 POCA time tags out of order in this file. Failure to collect data at DSS 45 was noted in the previous section. Figure Captions =============== HEA7105B.PS1. Power in raw data samples averaged over 1 second intervals. High frequency oscillation with period of about 12 seconds is visible in this plot superimposed on longer term, larger amplitude, and apparently more random amplitude variation. Spacecraft activity during GWE observations is presumably at a minimum. Figures ======= Plot(s) illustrate some of the points made in the text. Each plot is a PostScript file, created and printable on our SOPC. For report text file HEAydddC.TXT Figure N will be labeled HEAydddC.PSN and sent as the N+1st e-mail message of a set. We assume that you can strip off the e-mail headers and either display or print copies of the figures on a machine in your area. People who have indicated that they cannot handle these files by e-mail are not included in the e-mail distribution of figures.
