Which makes us feel a lot better, but probably means it's a bug in SunOS 4.1.4 and there's no short term fix (JPL SA's haven't found any patches for this sort of problem). We have determined that data flowing from Stanford INTO the SOPC does not cause the network connection to hang; but data flowing from the SOPC TO Stanford will bring the connection down within a few minutes. The Ethernet remains down until the next system reboot. This means we have no functioning network connection between the SOPC and the rest of our Stanford workstations; all outbound data and software transfers will have to be carried out using tape or CD-WO. Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- GWE open-loop data have been collected for the following time periods. YYYY/DDD DSS DSP SAMP BW DSP BIT TRK REC RECS RECS SNR START STOP RATE MODE RESN MODE LEN MSSG -------- --- -------- -------- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----- ---- ----- 1997/119 15 23:00:00 10:00:00 200 100 1 8 2-W 566 76800 0 ~52. 1997/120 45 09:30:00 14:30:00 200 100 1 8 2-W 566 36001 0 ~51. 1997/120 65 17:25:00 02:00:00 200 100 1 8 2-W 566 61796 4 ~50. Anomalies --------- Data transfer seems to have become more reliable in recent days. There have been no recent I/O or search errors reported from the NERT Cache. And only 4 records were lost in the station to NERT transfers listed above. There were 347 POCA order errors in the file from DSS 15, 132 in the file from DSS 45, and 232 in the file from DSS 65. There are images of the carrier at the high end of spectra from DSS 45 and DSS 65. There may be images on the low side in the DSS 15 spectra. Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- Data collection continues, but labeling and cataloging is on hold while we deal with other problems.
