PDS_VERSION = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 1997-05-02 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA7122A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END B1.0 Transition =============== Fred Hammer, at Tom Thorpe's request, called a meeting to investigate the networking problem we have been having. In addition to TES, it now appears that MOLA is having similar problems. MAG reports no trouble; MOC's interface to the GDS is different. Scotty Taylor, a tiger-team of one, has been assigned the task of investigating; he has produced a fault at JPL, but it's not clear that it's the same problem. There will be another meeting next Wednesday. Anomalies --------- The ODS starting at 97/121-01:50 could not be processed; there is apparently a corrupted record near the end of the file that is interpreted as a data gap. Our software starts inserting filler records and never returns. Before that point there were 1178 POCA order errors. In the 97/121 data from DSS 45 there were 266 POCA order errors; there were 410 in the file from DSS 65. In the 97/122 data at DSS 15 there were 133 POCA read errors. There are images of the carrier at the high end of spectra in the DSS 45 and DSS 65 data. There do NOT appear to be images in spectra from DSS 15 beginning at 97/122-01:50. Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- Data collection continues, but labeling and cataloging is on hold while we deal with other problems.
