The analog-to-digital converter is clearly saturated. On the other hand, the 60-s average power spectra do not have spurs, and the SNR appears to be about right. Aseel Anabtawi indicated that the 5 dB error in attenuator setting was unexpected and that radio science support personnel will have to monitor DSS 65 performance in the near future to avert similar problems again. We delayed the query for data from occultation 9119i (DSS 65, start time 2001/082-04:59:00) to start at 05:00:20, which was after the last attenuator change. The level is still high, but there appears to be no clipping. The attenuation was increased for the final two occultations (9120i and 9121i). Data from occultation 9121i (start time 2001/082-08:54:00) were captured at both DSS 65 (setting) and DSS 15 (rising).
