Twice weekly sequences were uploaded and successfully executed by the spacecraft. In addition, eight off-nadir roll-only targeted observations (ROTO) were performed. A review of the ROTO targeting process to date was held on March 22. While the process is going well (35 ROTOs conducted so far), pointing offsets have been observed. A demonstration of the relay minimum-fuel-use spacecraft configuration was performed over four orbits on March 23. In this mode, the spacecraft was pitched 22 degrees from nadir and HGA tracking was inhibited to minimize autonomous momentum dumping. Although science data gathering may eventually be added to this configuration, the mode is intended primarily for use following the Extended Mission to 'store' the spacecraft until it is needed to support the MER descent phase. Data from occultation 9146i (DSS 65, start time 2001/084-08:01:00) were lost to a SPA-R initialization failure. The following occultations have variable carrier power levels prior to ingress. The variations in carrier power on occultations 9158i and 9159i do not appear to be random; the first includes a 1 dB change in attenuator setting. As feared, the date stamp from these records shows year 1988; so that data may be corrupted even if the records can be recovered. Aseel Anabtawi has the data on tape; we plan to save the IDR files in an ad hoc archive for further work when time permits.
