Elias Barbinis had trouble getting the DSP to run for more than a few seconds at a time. Only data starting at 14:43:03 reached the query server. Although about 15 seconds of data prior to and including ingress were captured, the carrier level saturated the A/D converters. It may be possible to define an occultation time, but the chances of deriving an atmospheric profile appear to be slim. Data from occultation 9504i (DSS 43, start time 16:36:00) were compromised by poor attenuator settings. We delayed our query to 16:39:40 to skip over late attenuator changes. The carrier level in this segment is acceptable and the carrier baseline lasted about 90 s before ingress. Data from occultation 9506i (DSS 43, start time 20:32:00) were compromised by poor attenuator settings. We delayed our query to 20:34:34 to skip over late attenuator changes. The carrier level is acceptable and the carrier baseline lasted about 120 s before ingress.
