After several tries, Aseel Anabtawi has succeeded in retransmitting the data from the station and we have been able to obtain the occultation from the query server. About 10 s is still missing at the end of the recording, but this loss is inconsequential for science. The original files have been removed from our system, superseded by the new files under the same names. A 1 dB change in signal level 20 s after the switch to one-way was reported for occultation 9972i (DSS 65, start time 2001/151-23:14:00) in HEA1152A.TXT. This has been identified as a 1 dB reduction in attenuation at 23:15:34. Miscellaneous ============= Because of the weekend, this is the first report since HEA1152A.TXT. MGS has now completed more than 10000 orbits since the beginning of Mapping. Several weeks ago we received a request for data which might be used to determine spacecraft vibrational modes. Those data have apparently been analyzed; we received the following (slightly edited) message from Jesse Glance toward the end of last week: As I understand from this morning's SCT meeting, AACS & LMA structural engineers have completed review of Radio Science Team Doppler data. It was stated that in light of available data, it's inconclusive whether structural vibration characteristics have changed from the A/B timeframe. Furthermore, there may be a request (especially if prompted by mission assurance) to acquire more flight data at some TBD date.
