Data collected using DSS 15 have weak spurs at +/-120 Hz from the carrier. The last two runs at DSS 15 (start times 2000/011T02:31:00 and 03:06:00) have random gain changes of up to 3 dB. These occur with carrier present and carrier absent and are reminiscent of similar problems encountered in DSS 25 data at the end of December 1999. the maximum gain change seen in the DSS 25 data was 0.7 dB, however. In each case we needed continuous coverage across a midnight boundary - for example, an occultation occurred at Mars before midnight but the signal was not recorded at the DSN until after midnight. Joe Twicken, using software provided by Boris Semenov of JPL/NAIF merged single-day files to achieve the results shown. The merged files have been entered in our data flow and will be available from our magellan.stanford.edu server and will be written to CD-R for archive. The original file name is left blank (simplifies entry in our data base), but a NOTE in the detached PDS label indicates which two files were merged.
