The station was not able to lock up on telemetry and carrier-to-noise ratio is more than 10 dB below the expected value. There appear to have been three attenuator changes prior to ingress in an effort to get reasonable analog-to-digital conversions. Data from DSS 15 from late day 014 to early day 015 suffered from weak spurs 120 Hz on either side of the carrier. Carrier level in data beginning 2000/015T14:21:00 oscillates with amplitude about +/-0.4 dB and period 2 minutes. This is very reminiscent of the oscillations seen on 2000/013T15:53:00, which was also at DSS 54. In the new data the oscillation ends abruptly about 2.5 minutes before ingress. Data beginning 2000/015T20:14:00 from DSS 25 were lost because of predicts problems. Tuning predicts had to be regenerated at the beginning of the pass and the first occultation was missed. Data from DSS 65 on 2000/016 have fluctuating carrier levels (up to +/-0.6 dB in data starting at 19:46:00). The variations include both short (a few seconds) and long (minutes) components and may be associated with weather, which caused severe losses on 2000/014. Data starting 2000/016T19:46:00 at DSS 25 overlap the run with largest fluctuations at DSS 65 (previous paragraph). The DSS 25 data have only short period noise (on the order of +/-0.1 dB) so may be more suitable for science analysis than the data collected at DSS 65. Four of eight scheduled runs at DSS 45 on 2000/017 have not yet been found (start times 2000/017T07:32:00 through 2000/017T10:05:00). Trish Priest has confirmed that data acquisition was nominal, but the records have not yet reached JPL. The remaining four runs at DSS 45 on 2000/017 were collected using DSN predicts (the carrier drifts up to 100 Hz in 60 sec). Correlated with the frequency changes is an oscillation in signal level of perhaps +/-0.2 dB. This may result from changes in gain of the 2 kHz filter as the signal drifts. Data beginning at 2000/017T03:36:00 from DSS 45 are missing records 40-58. Since this is an ingress occultation, the science impact should be minimal. Data beginning 2000/017T11:27:00 and 12:03:00 from DSS 54 were lost because of DSP problems.
