The SA called within minutes, saving us time in diagnosing the problem and we quickly agreed on a strategy to recover. But many operations scripts were in Simpson's directory, so we are down for a while. The most recent backup tape was made 6 days ago. Recent additions to our ECS file will be lost, but no other damage is known at this time. The list of new files below reflects what we had collected, labeled, and entered in our data base before the accident. Trish Priest believes the data were collected successfully, but we have not been able to find them in the Mgs_CDR_QueryServer. Circuits normally used for transfer of open-loop data to JPL have recently been overloaded with regular DSN traffic because their normal routes are down. Four occultations (start times 2000/020T10:39:00 through 13:57:00) were lost at DSS 54 because the DSP was red. The recording starting 14:35:59 lasted only 65 seconds and contains only noise, presumably also because of DSP problems. The following occultations were lost when the spacecraft turned to conduct MAG/ER calibrations before occultation ingress: Start Date/Time DSS Occultation ----------------------- --- ----------- 2000/020T15:55:00 54 3887i 2000/020T17:52:00 54 3888i 2000/020T21:48:00 25 3890i 2000/020T23:45:00 25 3891i 2000/021T01:43:00 25 3892i 2000/021T05:39:00 45 3894i 2000/021T07:37:00 45 3895i 2000/021T09:34:00 45 3896i Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from OSCAR and EPIC: Original File Name Name on SOPC -------------------------------- ------------ ODF: 00020O021_10S.SJO;1 0020021A.ODF Ancillary Data ============== Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from NAIF and/or IPNG: Original File Name Name on SOPC -------------------------------- ------------ AGK: mgs_hga_ck_2000-01-18.bc 0018018A.AGK
