The upgrade began last night with installation of operating system patches. Today we are adding new versions of JPL/DSN/MGS software. The upgrade is complicated by the fact that there is almost no free disk space in the partitions affected. Bryan Allen and Chris Leng are invesitgating long term solutions. In the meantime, we have converted some of our data areas into temporary homes for system software. Several times in the past week we have received only partial data from queries for DSN Monitor channelized results. We have submitted second queries and recovered more data, and substituted those for the original before making the archival CD. The losses have been discovered only after the health report was distributed. We will investigate further after the E1.0 upgrade has been completed.
