Status -------------------------------------------------------- This file contains actual orientation of the hinge assuming that HGA deployment occurred on March 29, 1999 10:00:00 UTC. This time was chosen because the spacecraft engineering telemetry clearly indicated change of the HGA EL gimbal angle value -95 degrees (stowed position) to -90 degrees (initial deployed position.) The HGA hinge deployment is assumed to to have happened instantaneously and therefore duration of deployment process is not reflected in the data in this file. Pedigree -------------------------------------------------------- This file was created by running MSOPCK utility program on the input file containing nominal pre- and post-deployment hinge angle values and actual HGA deployment time. Angular Rates -------------------------------------------------------- Since the hinge cannot rotate in either stowed or deployed position, the angular rate in the file is set to zero during both, pre- and post-deployment intervals of coverage. Usage Note -------------------------------------------------------- In order to use this file an MGS SCLK file, containing coefficients mapping MGS on-board time to ET, standard LSK file, providing UTC to ET mapping, and MGS HGA Frame Definitions file, containing definitions of the frames orientation of which is provided in this CK file, must be loaded into a user's program.
