This is in response to a question from Bill Sjogren about availability of reconstruction files for maneuvers since aerobraking began. According to Trish, the aerobraking maneuvers are mostly "off the shelf"; the profiles were built in advance, so all you need is the time and delta-V to generate your own reconstruction. Other maneuvers have full-fledged Maneuver Implementation Files (MIFs in our jargon) and Maneuver Performance Data Files (MPDs). Presumably Pat will fill in some of the details when he speaks next week. The switch from using utility uTotFile to stot was made on 97/316 (see HEA7311A.TXT). It's a little hard to tell whether the change has made any difference. But, subjectively, there seem to have been fewer problems with queries under stot than with uTotFile.
