Since Wednesday we have been having connectivity problems between the SOPC and local (Stanford) computers. A call to SA Michael Scharf brought relief on some of the more critical links, but others remain non-functional. Further, we now seem unable to bring up Netscape on the SOPC, which means we cannot obtain EOP files and cannot file ISAs. We have left a (weekend) phone message at the SA number and will follow up with more direct complaints Monday if the problem persists. Maneuver Profile Files (data type MPF) were added to our collection two days ago. One file was collected that day as an experiment; the remaining files were collected today. These are "canned" maneuver sequences for use during Aerobraking, when no Maneuver Implementation/Reconstruction files (data type MIF) are being generated. When maneuvers are "designed" and an MIF is produced, we will not bother with MPFs; but during Aerobraking they are apparently the ONLY record of the maneuvers. Each of the MPFs collected has a default time and delta-V magnitude included. We will be constructing a table of ACTUAL times and delta-Vs shortly.
