The user directory on our magellan.stanford.edu server has been moved to a new, larger partition. Whereas less than 600 MB was available previously, there is now over 1.3 GB. This does not mean that users should store large data files in their directories; but it should minimize problems associated with transient storage in personal areas. The partition holding TDF files filled yesterday. Per the plan announced last week, the oldest TDFs were removed in order to fit the new files in. In general, the most recent ~80 TDFs will be stored on-line; older files can be reloaded from our CD-WO archive. Our magellan.stanford.edu server will be down intermittently today as we track down a disk connectivity problem. Anyone needing access at a specific time should request that from rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu.
