PDS_VERSION = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 1998-01-27 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA8027A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Errata ====== Yesterday's report (HEA8026B.TXT) should have said that this is the first time since the spacecraft emergency last May that the daily average USO temperature (channel T-0315) has dipped below 9C. There were scattered individual readings for about a week last September that were below 9C. And during about a week of the May safing events the average ran 6-7C. There are no performance issues associated with the 9C transition. Miscellaneous ============= There are still no occultation data in the NERT Cache. ISA Z45099 has been submitted. Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- The following is based on a report from Trish Priest. MGS Occultation #4 went well. The signal disappeared behind the surface a few seconds later than predicted but well within our record time. Once again, the signal was strong, and no spurs were apparent in the SSI display. Record Time: 027-07:44:00 to 027-08:00:00 1-way Period: 027-07:44:38 to 027-07:59:46 Expected Surface Begin: 027-07:57:46 Expected Atmosphere Begin: 027-07:54:39 This occultation occurred over DSS 45. The DSP was set to the standard configuration. Two attenuator changes were entered within a minute of the beginning of the one-way signal. DSN predicts were used, but the RS-generated predicts are ready to go for tomorrow's pass over DSS 43. Operations are going smoothly. The ACE gave a very good pre-pass briefing to the station. Anomalies --------- See Miscellaneous above regarding inability to access data.
