PDS_VERSION = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 1998-04-29 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA8119A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Miscellaneous ============= We have submitted about 55 entries to the Experimenters Notebook. There are about 120 to go. Most of the bugs seem to be out of the system now. The last occultation before Solar Conjunction was captured yesterday morning. Data acquisition has gone more smoothly in recent weeks (no POCA time tag errors and fewer anomalous amplitude or frequency changes); but we do continue to see occasional "sawtooth" frequency residuals (see below) and lower SNR from antennas at SPC 60. The Information Interchange Architecture/File Interchange System Team Test is in progress today. We have a very small role (if any at all), but are reasonably confident of our ability to interact with the new system. For example, all of the ancillary files (below) were obtained from FIS. FIS becomes prime (and CDB backup) on 15 May. His report: I have processed a number of ODR's which were acquired after the spacecraft began to slew off point at or before occultation ingress. I do not believe that any of these are useful for science. I used SPK files for steering the data. A number of the "egress" ODR's could not be steered due to very low signal level. Some other ODR's were steered but could not be processed to completion due to low signal level or inaccurate SPK predicts. One ODR was observed with the sawtooth problem. It is not possible to determine whether there was a sawtooth or not for the ODR's which could not be steered. I am still waiting for trajectory reconstructions from Goddard before processing the data from occultations #119 (4/6) through #142 (4/17). 81141812 Occultation #156 ingress 81141839 Occultation #156 egress Not processed to completion 81150551 Occultation #157 ingress Not processed to completion 81150618 Occultation #157 egress Not steered 81151730 Occultation #158 ingress Not processed to completion 81151757 Occultation #158 egress Not processed to completion 81160510 Occultation #159 ingress Sawtooth 81160535 Occultation #159 egress Not steered Occultation #160 ingress No data Occultation #160 egress No data 81170430 Occultation #161 ingress 81170454 Occultation #161 egress Not steered 81171610 Occultation #162 ingress 81171634 Occultation #162 egress Not steered Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from OSCAR and EPIC: Original File Name Name on SOPC -------------------------------- ------------ ODF: 98118O119.DAT;1 8118119A.ODF ODF: 98118O119_10S.SJO;1 8118119B.ODF TDF: 98107T108.DAT_v1 8107108A.TDF TDF: 98108T110.DAT_v1 8108110A.TDF TDF: 98109T111.DAT_v1 8109111A.TDF TDF: 98111T112.DAT_v1 8111112A.TDF TDF: 98112T113.DAT_v1 8112113A.TDF TDF: 98113T115.DAT_v1 8113115A.TDF TDF: 98114T116.DAT_v1 8114116A.TDF TDF: 98116T118.DAT_v1 8116118A.TDF Ancillary Data ============== Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from the CDB: Original File Name Name on SOPC -------------------------------- ------------ SAK: mgs_solar_array_1998-115.ck 8115115A.SAK SAK: mgs_solar_array_1998-116.ck 8116116A.SAK SAK: mgs_solar_array_1998-117.ck 8117117A.SAK SFO: conj98wk1.01.sfos 8119127D.SFO SOE: conj98wk1.01.soe 8119126D.SOE TCK: mgs_spice_c_kernel_1998-115.ck 8115115A.TCK TCK: mgs_spice_c_kernel_1998-116.ck 8116116A.TCK TCK: mgs_spice_c_kernel_1998-117.ck 8117117B.TCK
