GDF is a new data type. Like GDN, the GDF is created by the MOLA Precise Orbit Determination Team at GSFC by the GEODYN program. A GDF is considered a "final" orbit, whereas a GDN is a "quick-look" solution. Most of the GDFs (see below) came from the MGS Assessment Phase, when aerobraking was suspended in late 1997. Installation of the new SOPC has been delayed because the hardware did not arrive on Friday. It is at Stanford now, so we await arrival of a JPL SA, expected tomorrow. Health reports should continue during the transition period, but our ability to collect DSN Monitor, spacecraft engineering, radio science ODR, and Earth Orientation Parameter files likely will be interrupted. Spacecraft engineering data have been obtained from the query server a second time for all days since 98/146 (inclusive). We reported previously that our strategy in initiating queries meant that we missed some spacecraft data that were delayed on the spacecraft. To obtain data from earlier than 146 means those data must be reloaded. We are studying whether that is needed.
