The MOLA ISH has now moved entirely within the occultation period, so we can observe both ingress and egress. Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from OSCAR and EPIC: Original File Name Name on SOPC -------------------------------- ------------ ODF: 98336O337.DAT;1 8336337A.ODF Anomalies --------- Frank Lemoine relayed the following message from Gene Goltz regarding anomalous tracking data from DSS 65: Since DOY 324 (20 November), a problem has been seen in the DSS-65 uplink (ramp) data for Mars Global Surveyor -- and all other spacecraft tracking with DSS-65. The problem is with the exciter band identifier, which is indicating 'S' instead of 'X' for uplink on the ramps, Doppler, and range data. This error is further compounded in the ramp start frequencies and rates which are provided at S-band level (2 GHz) rather than X-band level (7 GHz). Furthermore, the anomaly can be seen to change randomly during some passes. I have worked out the algorithms to translate the ramp data from S to X, and will begin correcting the ATDFs as soon as possible after the Cassini DSM (Deep Space Maneuver) -- which just happens to occur over DSS-65, tonight.
