Closed loop file 8324337A.ODF is a composite, replacing 14 original ODFs which had incorrect exciter information. Gene Goltz provided this at our request because we were unable to read the corrected "ramp only" file he generated last week. Eight corrected ATDFs have been generated but not yet transferred to Stanford. Radio Science Team has adopted orbit numbers to identify occultations rather than continuing the practice of numbering occultations sequentially from 1. Confusion resulting from missed occultations (and whether they should be assigned a number) precipitated the change. The last occultation numbered under the old system was 267e (1998/345-03:10:00) on orbit 841. The following occultation was 842i (1998/345-06:22:00). No data were collected from the ingress occultation on orbit 845 (starting approximately 1998/345-19:41:00) because of a conflicting trajectory adjustment maneuver. All but 41 seconds of the data from the egress occultation on orbit 846 have apparently been lost in the GDS. Data collection began at 1998/346-01:02:00 and should have continued for 13 minutes. Data from both ingress and egress occultations on orbits 847, 848, 853, and 854 were lost because the DSP at SPC 60 was "red".
