We have submitted ISA Z50254. Because the total data volume is now closer to 50 MB than 200 MB, we resubmitted the queries this morning, causing a minor delay in compilation of today's report. Start times were 1999/049-09:21:00 through 1999/049-12:28:00, inclusive). 11 occultations were lost because DSS 45 was "red". Start times were 1999/049-13:18:00 through 1999/049-23:11:00, inclusive. Data from the occultation starting at 1999/049-02:35:00 were collected with the wrong sampling frequency, the wrong filter, or both. Most ingress occultations continue in 2-way tracking mode, uplink ramping, telemetry ON, and SNR about 15 dB lower than egress (telemetry OFF). Except for the first (1999/049-00:37:00), all ingress occultations observed at SPC 60 continue to show 0.5 dB peak-to-peak oscillations in carrier amplitude. Since the first was the only ingress without ramping, it is beginning to appear as though the ramping (or frequency- variable output of the 2 kHz receiver filter, which is known to have 4 times the specified ripple) may be responsible for the amplitude scalloping.
