Data from Viking would not ordinarily be carried in an MPF data set. In the   
course of archiving additional Viking data, PDS plans to separate the Viking  
from the MPF data on this volume (with appropriate cross references). Without 
the separation, a future user might not find the Viking data, since those     
files would appear in the catalog as MPF data.                                
                                                                              
The information in TRK_2_25.TXT may have been superseded. The PDS label that  
accompanies each file should be considered the definitive source.             
                                                                              
The INSTRUMENT_HOST_NAME and MISSION_PHASE_NAME keywords need to be revised   
in labels for the Viking data (in the REDUCED directory).                     
                                                                              
Because of some confusion regarding the physical format of MPRS_0001;2,       
the CD was remastered at Stanford on 12 June 2001.  In the process, minor     
errors in INDEX/CUMINDEX.TAB were corrected in both volumes.
