INDEXING CONVENTION FOR SEQUENCE MACROS

All macros are assigned an index of the form: class.number

Class is a number from 0 to 9 representing the major classification of the macro, as specified below:

CLASS INDEX MACRO TYPE
0 False Macros (raif comments only)
1 Traverse
2 MAE
3 WAE
4 Imaging
5 Soil Mechanics
6 APXS Imaging
7 APXS Positioning
8 APXS Instrument Operations
9 Miscellaneous Macros

Number simply distinguishes among the varous macros within a particular class.

Raif comments within macros append a third index to the end of the macro index to identify the comment type. As a result, all macro-related raif comments begin with a three field index (e.g., 5.1.9). The meaning of the third field is defined as follows:

COMMENT INDEX RAIF COMMENT TYPE
x.x.0 No function (comment only)
x.x.1 Beginning of macro
x.x.2 One-liner macro
x.x.3 Macro insertion point
x.x.4 Command edit required warning message
x.x.8 Error report warning message
x.x.9 End of macro
