Due to concerns that operation of the LMRE modem may play a role in causing lander resets, the rover is being loaded with a safing sequence designed to keep it safe until the problem has been diagnosed and SOLved.

• Abort sequence 50820A (~09:00)
• Set appropriate parameter values for rover vehicle safing
• Set health rate to 2 hours
• Wait until ~10:00 MLST, read persistent state table and do level 3 health check
• Wait until 12:00 to begin WEB heating
• Wait until 13:30 MLST, read persistent state table and do level 3 health check
• Turn off WEB heating (~15:00)
• Wait until 15:30, read persistent state table and do level 3 health check
• Shutdown until 18:00 MLST, then do level 3 health check (SOL 9 only)
• Shutdown until 05:45 SOL 10
• Wait until 07:00, read persistent state table and do level 3 health check
• Wait until 12:00 to begin WEB heating
• Repeat operations for 7 SOLs
