    Target Description
    ==================
      Comet C/ISON (2012 S1) was discovered on 21 September 2012 by Vitali
      Nevski and Artyom Novichonok using the 0.4-meter (16 in) reflector
      of the International Scientific Optical Network near Kislovodsk,
      Russia.  At the time of discovery, the apparent magnitude of the
      comet was approximately 18.8.  Perihelion occurs on 28 November 2013
      at a distance of 0.012 AU.  Closest approach to Earth occurs on 26
      December 2013 at a distance of 0.429 AU."
