PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 DATA_SET_ID = "VG2-J-PLS-5-SUMM-ELE-MOM-96.0SEC-V1.0" RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2003-06-06 NOTE = "ERRATA.TXT reflects any changes or errors made to this volume." END_OBJECT = TEXT END Non-Standard Practices The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum file for a volume. We have placed it in the root dircetory of the volume with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT". This may be considered invalid by some verifiers. =========================================================================== ASCII data file record formats ASCII data tables contained on this volume are fixed width and space or comma delimited. The PDS Standards recommend using fixed width comma delimited fields in ASCII tables. In general this recommendation was not followed on this volume in order to provide data in the same format in which they were originally provided to the PDS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- /DOCUMENT/*/*.ASC and /DOCUMENT/*/*.HTM files Copies of previously published documents found in the /DOCUMENT/ sub- directories contain some known misspellings. These result either from misspellings that follow the original documents or from errors introduced in the conversion of these documents to ASCII and HTML format. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Viewability of /DOCUMENT/*/*.GIF files The viewability of some of these images may depend significantly upon the operating system and the viewer used to view them. Specifically, they are best viewed on a color monitor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPICE C-kernel (spacecraft orientation) information The geometry information provided on this volume includes only the SPICE SPK file (containing spacecraft and target body ephemeris). As of the date of publication of this volume, no spacecraft orientation data were available. The PDS/NAIF node is in the process of restoring spacecraft orientation information for the SPICE pointing kernel (C-kernel). NAIF plans to make this kernel available in a future archive. For information regard the availability of the Voyager 2 SPICE C-kernel, please contact Chuck Acton (INTERNET: cacton@spice.jpl.nasa.gov, DECNET: NAIF::CACTON, PHONE: (818) 354-3869) or check the PDS website's link to the NAIF node for current NAIF contact information. The PDS/PPI node is in the process of preparing a data set that will contain the spacecraft orientation information relevant to PRA and other Voyager instruments for which spacecraft orientation is important. This data set will be archived on volume VG_1504 of this volume set. For information regarding the availability of this data set, please contact PDS Operator at the PDS/PPI node (see contact information below). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPLASH Software limitations The version of SPLASH that was available at the time of the production of this DVD-R was unable to correctly resolve ARRAY and CONTAINER objects and repeated ITEMS. As a result, some files or columns may not plot correctly for the following data: LECP Sectored, PRA Browse, and PWS 48S and 4S. For information on new versions of SPLASH, please contact the PDS Operator at the PDS/PPI node (see contact information below). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you find an error on this volume, please report the error to the PDS Operator at the PPI Node of the PDS.
