Balloon Observation Platform for Planetary Science (BOPPS) Balloon The BOPPS Gondola is composed of an aluminum frame that carried and protected the science payload and subsystems, and was the link with the balloon flight train. The gondola was sized to hold the existing 80cm aperture STO telescope.
