          Washington University is responsible for the development of
          electronic catalogs of planetary images and data products
          made from the images. These data products include those
          housed in the Regional Planetary Image Facilities. The node
          also develops and maintains database management software to
          access the catalogs. These catalogs are available to local
          users, visitors, and remote users on the Internet network.
          Washington University also provides the ability to do
          standardized processing of selected Viking Orbiter and
          Voyager images, using the Planetary Image Cartography
          System (PICS) software from the U. S. Geological Survey,
          Flagstaff, Arizona. Standardized processing includes
          radiometric calibration, geometric calibration, and
          generation of mosaics. Remote users may place orders for
          processed images and mosaics.
