INTRODUCTION This directory contains the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) Ultraviolet and Visible Spectrometer (UVS) Planetary Data System (PDS) Archive Bundle. It contains all of the data taken by the UVS instrument during the LADEE mission as well as supporting documentation necessary to use the data. The archive is organized in the manner prescribed by Version 4 of the PDS standards (PDS4). 2. ARCHIVE CONTENTS The archive consists (Table 1) of a set of collections: Raw-, Calibrated-, and Derived-level observational data collections, a Calibration collection, and Document, Context, and Schema collections. The contents of the data collections and the Document Collection are described briefly below. A detailed description of the contents and organization of the archive may be found in the UVS-PDS Software Interface Specification, which is located in the Document Collection (./document) at ./document/UVS_SIS.pdf. The observational data collections The archive provides data at three processing levels, Raw, Calibrated, and Derived. The contents of the products and their locations are shown in Table 2. The Raw-level products provide the unmodified digital-number readings from the UVS instrument for all 1044 detector bins, the Calibrated-level products provide the radiances for the 1024 active spectral bins, and the Derived-level products provide line-strengths for sodium and potassium for many observations. There is one pair of Raw and Calibrated products for each instrument integration, and they are listed in the collections in order of day, activity number, and timestamp of the observation. There are two Derived products---one for sodium and one for potassium. The Calibration Collection The Calibration Collection contains two products, which provide the mapping between UVS detector bin numbers and their corresponding calibrated wavelengths and data needed to convert instrument counts to radiance. The Document Collection The Document Collection (Table 3) describes in detail the UVS instrument, this archive, the observational activities conducted by UVS, and the data products.
