     Spacecraft attitude data are provided in five formats; as many as three may
apply to any given observation.  Attitude data are provided only for
dates and times when a limb-track maneuver was scheduled; on other dates
the high-gain antenna is assumed to have been on geometrical Earth-point
throughout the observation period.

     For the first three experiments, conducted on 5-6 October 1991,
attitude data are available in DRF, FIL, and HGA formats. Recorded
data files (DRF files) contain partial quaternion information as
received from the spacecraft in the engineering telemetry stream.
Filtered data files (FIL files) are the result of simple editing
and reconstruction of the full quaternion values from the DRF files.
HGA files give the reconstructed boresight pointing vector of the
Magellan high-gain antenna during the radio occultation experiment.

     For the remaining experiments, attitude information is provided in
the form of quaternion values (QUA files), coefficients for polynomials
defining quaternions (QCF files), or both.  In one instance as many as
three sets of coefficients are included in a QCF file; the experimenter
had not ascertained which was actually used at the time these data were
archived.

     HGA files give the reconstructed boresight pointing
vector of the Magellan high-gain antenna during the radio occultation
experiment.
