Apollo 14 Cold Cathode Ion Gage (CCIG) Atmospheric Density Plots Bundle

Overview
========
This PDS4 bundle (urn:nasa:pds:a14ccig_atmos_density_plots) contains Apollo 14 
Cold Cathode Ion Gage data migrated from the PDS3 dataset 
A14A-L-CCIG-3-ATMOS-DENSITY-PLOTS-V1.0. 
 
This dataset contains digitized plots of the density of the lunar atmosphere 
as measured by the Apollo 14 Cold Cathode Ion Gage from 05 February 1971 
through 31 December 1973. The files were scanned directly from microfilm. The 
original scans were done with the optimal focus and contrast, but no attempts 
were made to enhance the digital images. Some images are difficult to read and 
may benefit from further enhancement by the user.

Data Products and PDS Labels
============================
Every data product in this archive is accompanied by a PDS label in a file 
with the same name as the data file, but with the extension ".xml", as PDS 
labels are written in XML (Extended Markup Language). The labels may be viewed 
in a text editor or web browser, preferably one that applies special formatting 
to XML files to make them more readable. The labels may also be read by 
software that can interpret XML.


PDS3-to-PDS4 Migration Notes
============================
As part of the migration effort the parameter data tables were combined into 
3 data tables, one table per year. The density plots are now organized into 
directories by year, with each directory corresponding to the associated 
data table.
