Apollo 15 Lunar Surface X-Ray Counts Bundle

Overview
========
This PDS4 bundle (urn:nasa:pds:a15xrfs_surface_xray_counts) contains Apollo 15 
X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer data migrated from the PDS3 dataset 
A15C-L-XRFS-2-SURFACE-XRAY-COUNTS-V1.0. 
 
This dataset contains two tables of time-ordered, event count rates acquired 
by the Apollo 15 X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer from 30 July to 04 August 
1971 during lunar orbit. The tables include counts for all channels of the 
three proportional counters (unfiltered, magnesium filter, aluminum filter) 
and the solar monitor.

This bundle contains the following collections:

  data: tables of raw event counts from the Apollo 15 X-Ray Fluorescence 
  Spectrometer for all channels of the three proportional counters 
  (unfiltered, magnesium filter, aluminum filter) for the lunar surface 
  and all channels of the solar monitor
  
  document: documents useful for understanding of the archive, including 
  a dataset description (dataset_description.txt) 


Data Products and PDS Labels
============================
Every data product in this archive is accompanied by a PDS label in a file 
with the same name as the data file, but with the extension ".xml", as PDS 
labels are written in XML (Extended Markup Language). The labels may be viewed 
in a text editor or web browser, preferably one that applies special formatting 
to XML files to make them more readable. The labels may also be read by 
software that can interpret XML.
