Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) Radio Science Data
Planetary Data System (PDS) Archive Bundle

Overview
========

This bundle contains the following collections:

  data_range: LRO laser ranging files
  data_sff: LRO small forces files
  data_trk: LRO station raw tracking data
  data_wea: LRO station weather data
  spice_kernels: SPICE kernel files
  document_catalog: PDS3 catalog files with PDS4 labels
  document: Description of the radio science data products 
  miscellaneous: Radio science PDS3 index file collection

Radio science data were originally archived in PDS using the PDS3 standard. 
These data are being converted to the PDS4 standard in bundle 
urn:nasa:pds:lro_radioscience.

Data Products and PDS Labels
============================

Every radio science data product is accompanied by a PDS label in a file with 
the same name as the data file, but with the extension ".xml", as PDS labels 
are written in XML (Extended Markup Language). The labels may be viewed in a 
text editor or web browser, preferably one that applies special formatting to 
XML files to make them more readable. The labels may also be read by software 
that can interpret XML. 

The original PDS3 labels are also included in this bundle. These labels have 
the same name as the data file, but with the extension of ".lbl". They have a
keyword=value format and can be viewed in any text editor.

Documentation
=============
       
The documents in the document collection describe the contents, format, and 
structure of all radio science data products.

The ERRATA.TXT file in the root directory of this dataset is a PDS3 file and is
not part of the PDS4 bundle. This file is no longer being updated. Future
updates will appear in the release_notes product located in the document
collection of this bundle.
