Magellan Full-Resolution Basic Image Data Record (F-BIDR) Archive Bundle

Overview
--------

This PDS4 archive bundle contains Magellan F-BIDR products restored from the PDS
dataset generated by the Magellan project in the 1990's. This bundle corresponds
to the PDS3 dataset MGN-V-RDRS-5-BIDR-FULL-RES-V1.0.

This bundle contains the following collections.

Data - PDS4 versions of F-BIDR products

Document - a set of documents related to the F-BIDR dataset, including a user guide

Miscellaneous - catalogs of information about F-BIDR products

Data Products and PDS4 Labels
----------------------------

Every F-BIDR data product consists of one or more data files accompanied by a
PDS label with a similar
name to the data file with the extension ".xml", as PDS4 labels are written
in XML (Extended Markup Language). The labels may be viewed in a text editor or
web browser, preferably one that applies special formatting to XML files to make
them more readable. The labels may also be read by software that can interpret
XML.
