#### Introduction

This bundle provides calibrated electric and magnetic field spectral density
measurements in reduced temporal and spectral resolution obtained by the
Cassini Radio and Plasma Wave Science (RPWS) instruments over the entire
mission. The full-resolution calibrated data from a number of different
instrument sections sampling at varying cadences and spectral resolutions are
rebinned by selecting the median amplitude value in a set of regular bins with
ten frequency intervals per decade and time intervals covering integral
minutes in spacecraft event time. Both electric wave spectra in units of
volts squared per meter squared per hertz in the frequency range from one
hertz to sixteen megahertz and magnetic wave spectra in units of nanotesla
squared per hertz in the frequency range from one hertz to twelve point six
kilohertz are presented for the entire mission, including the flybys of Venus,
Earth, and Jupiter, the interplanetary cruise, and the entire Saturn tour.
These rebinned summary data are presented in fixed-length text tables for ease
of use and should serve as a convenient starting point for any investigations.
Higher-resolution information is available in the more-complex
cassini-rpws-low_rate_full_resolution bundle from which this data set is
derived.

Note the disclaimer below. Users of these data are encouraged to acknowledge
both the PDS and the principle investigators of the instruments whose data are
used in analysis in all publications.

    although with relatively sparse coverage

#### File Formats

The data files in this bundle are all ASCII text. All data files are described
by PDS labels following PDS4 specifications. The extensible markup language
label files for the data have the same name as the data files they describe,
but with the extension .lblx. Each label file is in the same directory as the
file it describes.

All plain text documents and data files are stream format files, with a
carriage return (ASCII 13) and a line feed character (ASCII 10) at the end of
the record. This allows the files to be read by MacOS, DOS, Windows, and
UNIX/Linux operating systems. UNIX/Linux system users may see an unnecessary
carriage return character (^M) at the end of each line. PDS label files
however follow the common XML practice of using lines terminated with a line
feed character (ASCII 10) only.

ASCII TAB files are formatted with fixed-length records and fixed-width
columns separated by white space for ease of use. The ASCII lblx label files
contain descriptions of the fields of each data file in extensible markup
language format. In this bundle, all data files share the same format. More
information on the PDS4 labels used in this bundle can be found at:
