#####Introduction

This is a PDS4 archive of the Pioneer 11 Geiger Tube Telescope Calibrated Data Bundle
that was originally archived by NSSDC staff.

Under PDS4 this bundle is organized into several collections, including
Data and Document. PDS4 documentation is all LBLX. There is an LBLX
label for every product in the archive.

This document contains information pertaining to the Pioneer 11 Geiger Tube Telescope
Calibrated Data Bundle. This bundle contains time-tagged measurements of energetic
charged particles in space. The bundle consists of particle count rates detected by
multiple Geiger–Müller tubes arranged in coincidence channels with different energy
thresholds on Pioneer 11 during the Jupiter and Saturn encounters.

####Bundle Organization:

####Pioneer 11 Calibrated GTT Daily Count Rate Data Collection

This collection contains one file of 24-hour-averaged count rates
and related parameters from the the Geiger Tube Telescope (GTT) flown
on Pioneer 11. The data are provided in ASCII tables (.TAB).


####Pioneer 11 GTT Calibrated 1 Hour Count Rate Data Collection

This collection consists of hourly averages of selected
interplanetary counting rates computed by NSSDC staff from 15-minute
averaged data. The data are provided in ASCII tables (.TAB).


####Pioneer 11 GTT Calibrated 15 Minute Count Rate Data Collection

This collection contains half-year files of 15-min count rates
and related parameters from the the Geiger Tube Telescope (GTT) flown
on Pioneer 11.

####Pioneer 11 Jupiter GTT Highres Data Collection

This collection includes data from the Geiger Tube Telescope (GTT) on
Pioneer 11 during its flyby of Jupiter. The collection contains high-resolution
detector angle data, timing information, and instrument temperature records.
It also includes uncorrected and corrected detector count rates. Supporting magnetic
field, ephemeris, and magnetic field model data are provided for the Jupiter
encounter. The data are provided in ASCII tables (.TAB).

####Pioneer 11 Saturn GTT Highres Data Collection

This collection includes data from the Geiger Tube Telescope (GTT) on
Pioneer 11 during its flyby of Saturn. The collection contains high-resolution
detector angle data, timing information, and instrument temperature records.
It also includes uncorrected and corrected detector count rates. Supporting magnetic
field, ephemeris, and magnetic field model data are provided for the Jupiter
encounter. The data are provided in ASCII tables (.TAB).
