                <type>Instrument</type>
<description>Instrument consisting of three 3He gas proportional counters: one is bare, one is
covered in thin (0.5mm) Cadmium wrap, and the third is covered in a 1-cm-thick polyethylene wrap.
Each sensor operates in an identical manner wherein a neutron can be absorbed by 3He atoms in
the gas volume producing a proton and a triton with a total energy of 765 keV.
The proton and triton deposit their kinetic energy in the gas volume, producing a signal
corresponding to 764 keV that serves as an unambiguous indicator of a detected neutron.
The data from each sensor has the same format and consists of 256 channels that
are accumulated during each accumulation period.</description>
