NAME The IRAS Mission Data Bundle
TYPE Archive
DESCRIPTION TheInfraRed Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) was launched on January 26, 1983from Vandenburg Air Force Base in California. It was a joint program ofthe United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The primarymission of IRAS was to conduct a sensitive and unbiased survey of thesky in four wavelength bands centered at 12, 25, 60, and 100 microns. Italso made pointed observatons of selected astronomical and solar systemobjects. This bundle contains the PDS data holdings from the IRAS mission.
