| DESCRIPTION |
This collection contains several data products that provide DSN weather calibration information for the Dawn spacecraft during its encounter with 4 Vesta. It has been migrated to PDS4 from the original delivery under PDS3 standards.
This collection contains DSN TRK-2-24 weather files which give information about the weather conditions at a single Deep Space Communications Complex (DSCC). The files in this collection each cover approximately one year. File names have the form yyyy_ddd_yyyy_ddd_ss.tab, where the first 'yyyy_ddd' indicates the starting date and the second 'yyyy_ddd' indicates the end date of the file coverage. The string 'ss' indicates the DSCC where weather data were acquired ('10' for Goldstone, '40 for Canberra, and '60' for Madrid). The accompanying PDS4 label describes the content and structure of the file.
