NAME New Horizons Multispectral Visible Imaging Camera (MVIC) Jupiter Encounter Partially Processed Data
TYPE Data
DESCRIPTION This data set contains Partially Processed data in .FIT format taken by New Horizons Multispectral Visible Imaging Camera instrument during the JUPITER ENCOUNTER mission phase. These data were migrated from the PDS3 dataset: NH-J-MVIC-3-JUPITER-V2.0. The Ralph (LEISA and MVIC) Jupiter activities included calibration observations using Callisto and Jupiter as a target, scientific observations of Jovian targets, opnav test observations of Callisto, and mapping of solar input aperture. This version includes data downlinked from 01/11/2007 through 06/27/2007. Labels were redesigned during migration using the .FIT header and PDS3 .LBL files, but the data files are unchanged from their PDS3 version.
