| DESCRIPTION |
The ROLIS consisted of a miniature CCD imager pointing downwards from the Philae Lander, with an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) raditing in four spectral bands in the visible and near-infrared to illuminate the comet surface after landing. ROLIS was also used for imaging the comet surface as the lander descended to the comet surface.
