| DESCRIPTION |
Stereo CAmeras for Lunar Plume-Surface Studies (SCALPSS) is an imaging system used to capture video during descent and landing on the lunar surface. The image data will be used to reconstruct the effects of plume-surface interaction (PSI) in post-flight using a well-known technique, stereo photogrammetry. The expected data from the SCALPSS 1.0 system will reconstruct the 3D shape of the ground after it has been eroded by the lander plume. This camera is SFL3, the North West Short Focal Length Camera, 5.4mm lens, Narrow FOV, which pairs with SFL2.
